New PoGo Operations Director

We are thrilled to appoint Dan O’Boyle as Operations Director to support the long-term growth and future expansion of the PoGo network.

With more than 15 years’ experience within the battery and automotive engineering industries, Dan will be responsible for pre-construction, construction, design, network management, supply chain, and procurement for all future installations, as well as their ongoing performance. He will work closely with the wider commercial team to realise efficiencies of scale as the business grows.

Dan started his career in the automotive industry as a Programme Manager for Aston Martin Lagonda, having graduated from the University of Northampton with an HND in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering. He was latterly Director for Programme Management, Operations, and Business Transformation having subsequently gained an MBA at the University of Aston.

Immediately prior to joining PoGo, Dan was Director of Planning and Development at InoBat, a start-up Battery Cell manufacturer, and created a Project Management and Operations delivery framework to enable the business to scale.

Dan says he is delighted to be joining the business: “I have a passion for the industry and those at the forefront of decarbonisation. PoGo has the benefit of being a business with an entrepreneurial mind-set and the financial resilience that will enable it to scale at pace. It is this combination that makes the opportunity so exciting. Together we build upon the existing processes and governance structure, to ensure our operational performance efficiently meets the market demand. Speed and control are fundamental to the approach.”

Stuart Douglas, Managing Director of PoGo, is similarly delighted to welcome Dan to the team: “The reputation PoGo has already achieved in such a short space of time is helping us to attract best-in-class talent who share our mission to become a trusted partner in creating sustainable revenue streams by converting our customers’ land into a vital EV charging network.

“With our extensive experience, a winning team and a commitment to reliability, we’re here to energise landowners’ property and our planet.”

Dan will oversee a growing operational team which has gone from 9 to 22 people following our launch of the network last year. This investment in the team is expected to continue as we accelerate our deployment of ultra-rapid charging across the UK this year.
